Big Bear Lake California is within 2 hours drive of Los Angeles to the west and Palm Springs to the east. We have a lake over 7 miles long and a mile and a half wide. There is water skiing/wake boarding, sailing, fishing and PWC activity from May to October. We have two winter resort facilities with 4 high speed quads and many other chair lifts. We are surrounded by U.S. National Forest.
Lake front homes start at around $700,000 and top out at just under $5 million. Ski slope view mountain homes range from around $200,000 to $900,000 in today’s market. Small cabins on tiny lots away from the lake and slopes can be picked up under $100,000.
Our market is showing definite signs of improvement after a 2 year fall of about 35% in values. It’s a great time to buy!
